Julie:
We spoke briefly a few days before Joe's Memorial Service on Thursday. I feel badly that our travel schedule kept me from attending Joe's service, I would have loved to have been there.
As I told you on the phone, I had three older brothers who were all afflicted with Hemophilia, so I had a special tie to Joe and the Fl-GA Blood Alliance. We will miss Joe's presence on the board, but his spirit will remain with us always.
God Bless you and your family,
Psalms
Chapter 121
1
1 A song of ascents. 2 I raise my eyes toward the mountains. From where will my help come?
2
My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
3
God will not allow your foot to slip; your guardian does not sleep.
4
Truly, the guardian of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps.
5
3 The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your righthand.
6
By day the sun cannot harm you, nor the moon by night.
7
The LORD will guard you from all evil, will always guard your life.
8
The LORD will guard your coming and going both now and forever.

Joe was such an outstanding banker, citizen, friend.
We first became acquainted through banking interests, serving on several committees together and then many civic and community causes. We served together on the Board of the Florida Georgia Blood Alliance for many years.
He was a very unselfish, giving person who was so highly regarded and respected by everyone who knew him.
I am a better person by having had Joe as my friend.
To Julie and the family, my deep and sincere sympathy.
May the Peace of The Lord be ALWAYS with you !

I've worked with Joe and found him to be a joy to be around. When he found out my husband was very ill, he was right there to offer a broad shoulder, prayers and a smile. My sympathies and prayers go out to Joe's family. He'll be missed.

Wow... what can be said about Joe that isn't known? I've have known Joe for 21 years since I became friends with his son David. I have always thought of him with the upmost respect and kindness. It was fun growing up with Daivd when Joe was home... even though he liked to make fun of me on numerous occasions, he was great. When I expanded my business I called him several times for advice and he was always there like a second father for me. He gave me the same advice my father gave me. I guess two great people think alike. It really ment a lot to me when he said that he was proud of me for making something of myself. That is a conversation that I will never forget. To Julie, Paige, and to my one of my greatest and oldest friends David... our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this tough time. If there is anything the Zauke's can do for you, please don't hesitate. Remember to celebrate his life for he was a great man, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
