Joy Rouse Obituary

ROUSE Joy McKenzie Rouse, 60, passed away February 21, 2011. Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, she moved to Jacksonville in 1997 from Raleigh, North Carolina. She worked at Fidelity Bank. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nan Marie Barritt McKenzie and her father, Benjamin Franklin McKenzie. Survivors include her son, W. Kyle Rouse; and aunt, Gabrielle (Camarot) Black. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I just recently learned of Joy's passing. I enjoyed having her as a neighbor and the great backyard parties she would have. Even afer leaving the community she still kept in touch with us. What a great person and friend.

Kyle, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. We were friends growing up in Palm Beach together. I will always remember how friendly and nice she was as well as her talented athletic abilities. She will be missed.
