My sister Joyce was a big inspiration to me and all who knew her. She and I had a lifelong attachment and a special closeness. Although I could not speak at her memorial my thoughts were of her children and grandchildren who will miss her guidance and love.

I'm so glad you published a picture of Joyce's beautiful face--she looks just like our beloved Grandma Annie. Even though I haven't seen you girls in 20+ years, I know that Joyce left a big empty space because she was so full of life! Treasure your memories and each other. My sincere condolences to you both and to Joyces children and grandchildren. It seems like only a short time ago we were all living on Gilmore Street. I will be lifting all of you up in prayer during this time of sadness. Draw on the Lord's strength for He will sustain you all.
