Linda:

You and Doug have touched so many people's lives over the years as is evidenced by the guest book. Doug's sarcastic wit and story telling are only exceeded by his gigantic heart and tremendous love for people.

The world needs more Doug Harmons to pass through and touch people the way he did. His legacy will effect generations to come.

I don't know Doug personnaly, there he loved mostly playing Craps and I was at that time at other casino games , but what I have heard from the dealers at Concorde through the years and still do,although most of the crew has parted to different directions or in higher management positions, Doug was a truly Aruba lover and all those who knew him in Aruba have only words of highly appreciation. Aruba has lost one of his truly friends.Words of strenght goes to his family.

My daughter played on mr. harmon's national championship team . Mr. harmon would furnish everything for the girls and all he asked for is to play hard and act like ladies. He was a great man. When we took the nat trophy to him he had a tear in his eyes becouse we all saw that he was a man that cared for sports , family, and hard work. He will be missed . I told my daughter about mr. harmon and all she could say was why.

My best memories of Doug also was sitting in his office or the old PDS lunch table and waiting to see who Doug had invited for lunch or just listening to his stories , he really could capture your attention giving every detail. I was grateful to be his friend and to be asked to travel with him and some of his best friends on several trips which he and Leslie had planned out in every detail from fishing or giving out clothing to the needy in the jungles of Costa Rica and Nicaragua to hunting elk in Colorado and mule deer in Montana and Wyoming. He will be greatly missed by the community and all the lives he touched. May God Bless the family. See you in Heaven "BIG MAN"

I will never forget Doug, the PDS family, and the time I spent working with you all. So much of what I have now is due to Doug's help and I am grateful for everything. He will be missed by so many - a great man with great stories - I'll never forget sitting in the kitchen of the old PDS office, with all of us listening and laughing at his stories and the expressions on his face as he told them. I'm so glad I was able to see Doug when I visited with everyone at PDS in the fall of '04. I have so many memories of the years I spent with you back in the early '80s - a time I will never forget. Godspeed, Doug, and GO GATORS.

Linda,

I always remember the times that Doug came to watch you bowl and he always had the time to say hello to us and ask how we were doing. Being a huge baseball fan myself, I know he'll be truely missed by all, especially those of us in North Florida. We haven't seen you for a few years or more, but we always enjoyed our time together at Jax Lanes and please know that you and your family are in our prayers.

My family actually met Doug several years before I started working for him. It was at Famos Amos and Doug gave me his card after a man (homeless and a regular customer)at another table threatened my husband. He said if there was anything he could do let him know. Who knew I would be working for him later.

What an experience working for a man like Doug Harmon. I learned so much from him and what an entertainer. You can sit and listen to his stories forever. I know he's up in heaven watching a baseball game and telling stories.

You will be missed.

Doug Harmon believed strongly in the values installed in college athletes through sports, and his donations will serve as a fitting tributr to the benevolent man . He loved his Gators, his Ospreys, living life to its fullest, and most of all, his family.

There is a cloud over the Gator and Osprey nations today, but "Here comes the Sun." as Doug would have wanted us to celebrate life, a belief I hope gets relayed to every UF and UNF player.

Peace be with you, Doug. Godspeed and condolences to Linda and the rest of his family.
