Mark Lefevre Obituary

LEFEVRE
Mark Donald Lefevre, 57, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, FL, with his beloved wife, Janet, and loved ones at his side on August 31, 2018 after a battle with bladder cancer.
He was born in Putnam, CT on October 4, 1960 to Pauline (Morneau) Lefevre and the late Donald J. Lefevre. Mark grew up in Moosup, CT, spending many hours sharing his love of baseball with his dad. A graduate of Plainfield High School, "Snake" (as he was known by many), inherited his dad's tremendous work ethic. In 1978 he began his career at Kaman Aerospace Corporation in Moosup. He remained with the company until his death, moving with them to Jacksonville, FL in 2002 and advancing to the position of Senior Production Manager. Although his career was a source of great pride, his role as Pepere to his 4 grandchildren was dearest to his heart. A lover of all things Disney, he shared many days at the parks being a kid along with grandchildren, family, friends, and Janet. His strong personality, energy, and sense of humor made him a force to be reckoned with and will continue to tie him to those who loved him. Mark is survived by his soul-mate and wife, Janet Watts Lefevre, whom he loved fiercely; his mother, Pauline Lefevre of CT; his children Jennifer (Luke) Hawkins , Matthew (Tonya) Lefevre , Stephanie Buchanan, all of CT, and Danielle (Ryan) Searage of FL; his grandchildren Codey and Kylie Lefevre, and Kayleen and Luke Hawkins, Jr.; his 3 big sisters Cheryl (Ken) Dougherty of FL, Lynda (Dave) DeJesus of RI, and Nancy (Rich) Kurek of CT. Many loving nieces and nephews, some very special friends, and extended family members also mourn his loss.
Per his request, there will be no visitation or services. Crevasse's Simple Cremation is in charge. You may submit remembrances in their guest book at www.crevassesimplecremation.com He wished his memory to be honored by donating in his name to the Department of Development, Mayo Clinic, 200 1st Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905. Worked with Mark and his dad Donald for many years in the Production Control office at Kaman in Moosup.

I enjoyed working with Mark at Kaman. His humor was a pleasure and he always had a butterfinger candy ready for me when I visited his office. His passion and pride for his work was evident. My condolences to his family and friends.

Janet, Matt, Danielle Stephanie & family: When my father passed, many years ago, a friend sent the following words to me. I keep them posted by my desk. I hope that you can take the same peace and comfort from them that I do.

IN MEMORIUM

In countless gentle, kindly ways he lived a sermon all his days. Believing in the folk he knew and making friends his lifetime through
Enjoying life, its works and fun, he sought the best in everyone. Living his faith from day to day, he sowed good seed along the way.
Now death has set his spirit free in fields of immortality, to claim a task of greater worth than any he had known on earth.

MISS ME BUT LET ME GO

When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take. And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.
