LASHLEY Marvin Junior Lashley, age 77, of Green Cove Springs, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014. He was born June 22, 1936 to the late James and Addie Lashley of Live Oak, Fl. In 1958 Marvin moved to Jacksonville where he married his first wife Barbara (Anderson) the mother of his three children. He was the owner/operator of Enviro Pest Control for 35 years. On December 13, 2012 he lost his love of 26 years, Gail. Marvin was a country boy at heart and loved to tell stories about growing up in Suwannee County. He was a good man who worked hard for what he had and helped out as many as he could along the way. He made a lot of friends throughout his lifetime and some of the best were in his Over the Hill club that for over 20 years would meet for breakfast. He loved woodworking; gardening, fishing, and making people laugh. He was simple, brave and loyal to a fault, truly the salt of the earth. He was a member of the Riverside Masonic Lodge #266 Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Daniel, his son David and his wife Gail (Goding-Steinmeyer). He is survived by his sister Lillian Radford, daughter Sharon Covart, his grand daughters Anna and Rachel Covart, grandson Bradley Gordon, one great-grandson Jacob Gordon. His nephew Tom Radford and niece Lynn Mobley. His three step-children, Lori Blackwood, David Steinmeyer and Lynn Hines. Visitation will be at 10:00, Funeral at 11:00, Wednesday February 12th at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 18305 56th St, Live Oak, FL 32060. Services will be officiated by Pastor Billy Bray.
