Maximo DeGuzman Obituary

DEGUZMAN Maximo B. DeGuzman, 81, passed away February 28, 2006. He was born April 13, 1924, in Orion Bataan, Philippines and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1976. Maximo was a parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church, a veteran of World War II and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Prior to retirement he was a Control Manager for Bono's Bar-B-Que. Family members include his loving wife of 59 years, Pat C. DeGuzman; loving sons, Manny (Lannie) DeGuzman, Lito (Ruby) DeGuzman and Virgel DeGuzman; loving daughter, Elvie (Robert) Flor; loving grandchildren, Elvie Lynn (Christian) Smith, Shandy DeGuzman, Tristan DeGuzman, Rainer Flor, and Rapheal Mathew DeGuzman. Visitation will be held Thursday and Friday, March 2nd and 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz, A Family Funeral Home with a Prayer Vigil held Friday at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4th in the St. John's Catholic Church with the Reverend Jerard O'Shea as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Beaches Memorial Park of Atlantic Beach.
