Naheel Bateh Obituary

BATEH Naheel S. Bateh, 73, passed away March 13, 2007. She was born in Ramallah, Palestine and immigrated to the United States in 1948. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Shihadeh A. Bateh ("Jr.").She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and relative and was a devout Christian. She worked along side her husband in the various family businesses. She was a life long member of the Ramallah American Club and a member of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church. She is survived by her children; Dr. Norman S. Bateh (Marlene), Norma Jean Frye (Scott), and Cynthia R. Bateh, five grandchildren; Cameron, Mallory, and Palmer Frye, and Laurie and Amanda Bateh and many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 11AM Friday March 16th at St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church, 3850 Atlantic Blvd officiated by the Reverend Fr. Nicholas Graff and Fr. Milton Magos. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 15th from 6-7PM at St. John the Divine with the Trisagon service at 7PM. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church or Community Hospice of NE Florida. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com

Our
deepest sympathy goes out to the Bateh family. Aunt Naheel will always
be a special part of our family. She will definitely be missed by all
that knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as you go
forward with your lives. Aunt Naheel was a loving wife, great mother
& grandmother, a wonderful sister, and a special aunt & cousin.
Most of all, she was a true friend to our family. As i write this note
with a heavy heart, please know that my life was much better for having
crossed paths with Shihadeh and Naheel Bateh. God bless you both and

Norman, Norma, and Cynthia,
