Jill,
What a blessing it was to read about the article of your mom in today's paper 7/13/08. You haven't been my nurse for so many years, so it is hard to stay in the "loop", but after reading the kind of person your mom was, as well as recalling memories that you shared about your mom in the past, I can only be humbled by the remarkable strength she showed... and to be concerned about how her hair looked on a rain day.
I couldn't believe the picture with Carrie and Bradley in it.... oh how they have grown... how many years has it been? Um... Bradley wanted to be piglet for Halloween and you made his costume.
The little voice inside said something was familiar about the article that I read today, and I've been blessed for reading it through.
Miss you being at RCHO.
Blessings,
Carrie Dixon

To the McElwee Family,
So sorry to hear of the loss of Peggy. She was a wonderful person.
She went on a trip to Savannah & Paula Deen's with a group of Red Hatters, and it was so much fun. She wasn't feeling well that day, but tried to be her usual funny self. I met her through my Mom (Gladys McKee) who kept me updated on her illness. I was so sad when I heard the sad news in Church that Sunday morning. I feel blessed to have known such a strong, christian person. She will be greatly missed, but we will always have the great memories to remember her.

Dear Robyn,
Although I only briefly met your mom, I know she had to have been a wonderful woman to have raised such a devoted and kind person like you. It was bittersweet to see all of her family and friends at the ALS walk. Please know that our family is praying for yours.

Dear Robyn and Jill
I read the wonderful article that you placed in the Florida Times-Union in Honor of Your Mother, on Mother’s Day. There is no doubt how much you two loved and wanted to make this day special for her, by letting everyone know, how proud you were of her accomplishments while growing-up.
I know she was proud that she raised two wonderful daughters. She thanked God every day that she had two loving daughters that knew the meaning of love, by taking care of her during her illness, in the past two years.
She will continue to be in your life, has your Special Angel. The reason this is so special, because God made her your Mother, first and now she has been promoted, to become your Guardian Angel. So when ever you are lonely or feeling blue, you only have to call out to her. She will send you special signs to let you know she is looking and thinking of you. As a reminder of the joys, you all have shared together.

Dear Eddie, Jill, & Robin,
when I was growing up in San Mateo you were always Coach Eddie & Mrs. Peggy! I have the fondest memories of those years and you were a big part of our community. You were a great looking happy couple with beautiful girls. You were, & still are, active & giving to your God, your familly & friends. The article Jill & Robin wrote about their Mom brought tears to my eyes and memories to my heart. Mrs. Peggy will be missed. I will keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers. Much Love, Shirley Joy DeBerry

I am grateful to have met Peggy through the Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville. She was a true bulldog and good friend. She was a loyal volunteer to the Bulldog Club and especially to the Gator Bowl Association where she truly enjoyed sharing her love of Jacksonville and football with visiting fans.
I am also grateful to have been able to walk with Peggy's Pals just a few months ago. It was an honor to be there and support Peggy!
She will be missed!

Carrie,
I love you so much and
I am so sorry that this had to happen to nina. She was such a sweet lady, and she was always so full of energy. If you ever need anything you know I am here for you! Your nina loved you very much and we could all see how close and strong yalls relationship was. I know that this had to be really hard for you, but you know your not alone! I am sure she is thanking you for helping her through all of this.. because you did.. you helped her through her hardest times. You were always there for her and she could depend on you! She was very proud to have you as a grandaughter.
I think the hardest thing to do was to just say goodbye.. but we all knew that she had to go.. it was her time.. and she is deffinately in a better place. She was a very strong woman! She fought through this disease for a really long time and that's really good!
Eddie/Papa,
you are in my prayers along with the rest of the family.
I can't imagine what your going through right now! But your not alone either. i love you and your family very much.
i loved nina too.
She was a strong caring woman and none of us will ever forget her.
She will always be in our hearts!

There are no words I could possibly say to you that will take away the sadness in your heart. I hope you find comfort in knowing your Mom is at peace and looking down upon you and Robyn and saying thank you for taking such wonderful care of me and being there for me every minute!! You and Robyn are wonderdul daughters and I'm certain your Mom left this world as proud of both of you as the day you were born.

Jill & Robyn, You must be so very proud of your mom. She fought so hard and was so brave. I'll never forget how excited and spunky she was at the ALS walk a few short months ago. She kept saying "I'll see you at the baseball game in June." She was so determined to make it to that baseball game and she did. I am so sad for you and your family's great loss. I hope your memories of her will sustain you in this time of sorrow.

There are no words to express our grief in the loss of our dear friend, Peggy. Eddie, we haven't seen you or Peggy in such a long time, and we always talked of getting together and never did. Life is too short and it gets away before we realize it. Please know our heart and prayers are with you, and we will miss Peggy and her wonderful laugh, smile and her love of life. I'll never forget our trips together for they are still very special memories. We look forward to seeing you and especially look forward to when we all meet again in Glory. What a day that will be!! May the Peace of our Lord be with you and your family, and our love will continue to lift you in prayer, Love, Dan and Romona
