PETE RODRIGUES MEMORIAL SERVICE : We mourn the apparent loss of our beloved Pete Rodrigues to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Although we have not been successful in bringing Pete home, we are still praying for a miracle and ask that everyone to please join us in our prayers. Pete was discovered missing when his unmanned boat washed ashore at Hanna Park in Jacksonville Florida on Sunday evening, Oct. 5, 2014. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the extensive search, including the hundreds of local volunteers, friends and family who joined us on the beaches, by boat and in their private planes. A very special thanks to the U.S. Coast Guard led by CDR Doug Stark as well as Steve Mullen of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the U.S. Navy. In honor of Peter Pete J. Rodrigues, there will be a service of remembrance held on Thursday, October 23, at 11:00am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 435 1st Ave. North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, (904)249-2600. The service will be followed by a reception at the Family Life Center of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
