I only found out today; 2-24-2014 that Chuck had passed away. Yes, almost a year to the day later. I had moved away from Jacksonville quite a few years ago and had not talked to Chuck or his father Charlie since the 1990's. I was curious about how Chuck was doing and googled his name and found this. I knew Charlie, Edith and Chuck from their Shell station on Merrill Road many years ago. What a fantastic family! I had spent time with both father and son at restaurants and football games in the 1990's. Charlie was a Vietnam veteran. What a great sense of humor both of them had! As many of you might know, Chuck was a big football fan too. He sold me 2 Jaguar season tickets before the first 1995 season started. I had the season tickets for 7 seasons until I finally sold them because I moved away from Jacksonville. And let me tell you.....of all the guests that went to the many games with me, Chuck was the best! Our last game together was the AFC championship game in January of 2000 against Tennessee Titans. In closing, let me say that it was an honor to have known both Charlie and Chuck. You are both missed by many.

To Chuck's family, my deepest condolensces and sympathy.

We are born, live and when we pass on, we move onto a better place afterwards. Chuck is a special person and will be deeply missed, however I know that he is in a better place and will always be in our prayers and hearts. With each new life, no matter how brief it may be, has a special purpose and changes the world.

My dear Chuck - I know that your faith is strong, and know that you hold on to it. Faith is the evidence of things unseen. Even though we can't see a reason for what has happened, we can have faith that there is a reason in His plan. God sees and knows everything and is with you right now. God will never leave your nor forsake you. You are his child. He is your father. He will always look after you.God holds the power of life over death, and He is the true salvation. This is our only hope and comfort in this temporary life.Death is only the beginning of a more perfect and beautiful everlasting life. Sometimes God gives us trials to test and strengthen our faith. He helps us to depend on him and stay close.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."-James 1:12

You're such an amazing friend. You're sweet, kind, and true. I will surely miss you.

No words can describe the loss of Chuck Craig nor can words describe what an amazingly wonderful human being Chuck really was. With every life he came across, the evidence of his compassion for others always became immediately and abundantly clear. I was truly blessed to have been friends with Chuck since kindergarten. His entire family became part of mine at an early age. I wish much comfort to Mrs. Craig, Kim, Gary, Gail, and Chuck's entire family and friends.

Any tribute to Chuck would be too short to capture his love, sacrifice, dedication, compassion, friendship, brotherhood,....much too short to express what an incredible human being Chuck really was. Even though your life Chuck was way too short, what a Life it was! You gave your time, money, love, and attention to everyone in need of it, without hesitation or reservation. Few people, I think, can claim that of their life. From the time we were small until the time you left us, I always looked up to you. You loved others so much and were loved just as much in return. I will never forget you Chuck! You will always be in my heart and I will always love you.

Your friend forever,
