Richard Barthlow Obituary

BARTHLOW Richard Neil Barthlow, age 51, of Middleburg, Florida died peacefully, Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on July 14, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of Edgar and Doris Barthlow (deceased). At the time of his death, he was employed at Southeast Toyota, a division of the JM Family Enterprises. He is survived by his son, Richard Neil Barthlow, Jr.; a brother, Edgar W. “ Butch” Barthlow (Linda); two sisters: Sylvia Gower (Tommy) and Norma Jean Roebuck; his nephews: Michael and Joshua Brannen, and Jimmy Barthlow; and his favorite niece, Karen Gower; aunts: Betty Jo Barthlow and Effie Mae Nugen; and several cousins and many friends at Southeast Toyota. He was predeceased by his niece, Edith Thomas. He was a faithful member of The Church at Argyle. The celebration service of his life will be held at The Church at Argyle, 6823 Argyle Forest Blvd, Jacksonville, on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM with D r. Ken Dyal officiating. Burial will follow at the Middleburg United Methodist Church Cemetery in Middleburg, Florida. Pallbearers will be Tommy Gower, Michael Brannen, Joshua Brannen, Dr. W. J. Knauer III, Leroy Hurt and Chad Brewer. Honorary pallbearer, Dr. Ken Dyal. The family will receive friends at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 950 Park Ave, Orange Park, Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 6:30-8:30 PM Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
