Marcus,Rose and to Richard's wife and family I never got to meet. Words can not express my shock and sorrow upon hearing of Richard death. He was such a good man and although I have not seen him in years I still can see his face and hear his laughter. Marcus and Rose, if there is anything I can do please let us know.

We just recently heard of Rick's passing, it was the last thing I would of thought of hearing about. I had worked a short time with Rick at his last place of employment, although I was there briefly. We talked a lot about his motorcyle and motorcycles in general as he rode and my family rode, we talked about his hardware store.
Back in March 08' our daughter was murdered and even though he never knew her or met her, Rick and his wife took time out of there schedule to go to her Memorial service.
He will be missed dearly by his family and close friends that knew him better than myself.
So now he joins our daughter in rest, along with all others that have fallen in death, when they and all others will be resurrected to life.

Uncle Rick is a wonderful human being. He is one of the sweetest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have listened to stories and seen for myself the great things he has done for his family, friends and community. Our world has suffered a great loss but has gained beautiful effects from his life and spirit. I feel very fortunate to be a part of his and his family's lives. He was every bit of his father, mother and two sisters. His mother's enormous heart with her endless compassion, his father's wisdom and know-how, his two sister's humor and kindness. From that he created his greatest achievement; a family of his own. Karen, Richie, Emily and Amanda are his legacy, together they will keep his spirit alive.
My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. I pray that the most profound and unshakable happiness permeates our lives. We will all see him one day, how great a thought that is.
Love,
Freddie

On Tuesday my heart was broken once again. The loss of my uncle Rick has shaken our family to which words cannot describe. Life can change in an instant. My prayers go out to aunt Karen who has lost her love, to Richie, Emily and Amanda who have lost their Daddy. This kind of loss is something my mom and I know all too well. It takes my breath away to see the pain in Mama and Papa's eyes at the loss of their son. Mom has lost her big brother. God works in mysterious ways and I truly believe he needed uncle Rick in heaven to do his work. Our loss on earth is heavens gain. There was a reunion in heaven this week between Rick and my dad, Roger and all of our loved ones. They welcomed him with open arms and together they prepare for our arrival one day. On that day we will be together again. Until then we must continue to love and support each other and carry out His work. To all of my family, I love you.
With all my love,
Laurie

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I've known Amanda Monk since daycare, so I've also known her family that long too. It came as a real shock when I found out about Mr. Monk's death. I feel so bad for Amanda and her family. I wish there was more I could do to help their family, but I just want them to know that my thoughts and prayers are with them.
