Robert Kutzer Obituary

KUTZER Robert L. Kutzer, 70, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully in his home on Monday July 6, 2015. Bob was born on March 8, 1945 in Boston, MA. to the late Melvin and Reba Kutzer. He moved with his family to Jacksonville as a child. Bob was a 1967 Jacksonville University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree. He started teaching in the Duval County School System that same year. He loved teaching and won the affection of his students with patience and a little music, often playing their favorite records in homeroom. Bob was also successful in sales for over 20 years. Bob and his son, Steve, started Kutzer Painting in 1994 where he worked until his retirement. He was active in Little League coaching in Mandarin and Southside Athletic Associations in the 70's and 80's. He was one of the coaches who won the City League baseball championship, Senior Division in 1983. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving spouse, Doris; son, Steve (Lisa); siblings, Dan Kutzer , Sandra Bell, Nancy King (David), and Patty Sanders; four wonderful grandchildren, Alexis (Sean), Jamie, Austin, and Dale; two great grandchildren, Tanner and Ashlyn. Bob will be greatly missed and always remembered for his sense of humor and wonderful smile by his many family members, friends and colleagues. Dear Bobby,
You've been on my mind a lot the last few days. Steve and I were saying we can't believe it's been 9 years since we lost you. Time just keeps passing and days turn into years. I carry around your memory with me everyday, and my thoughts and love for you never changes. There are so many little things I miss. The sound of your voice, your laugh, that big smile, all your silly jokes. Our morning walks and seeing who would find the most pennies. You usually won. ha! We will be together again one day, and that will be wonderful . Until then be at peace and know that you are always on our minds and in our hearts. Love you forever!! Doris, Steve, and all your family!

Still want to call you or tell you about this or that and I do speak to you sometimes. You will always be around for everyone. That's what I believe. I see you in my dreams every now and then. You seemed like you were okay. I miss you being here but I will see you in person one day. Love you Dad.

I still think about you everyday. I miss you. I see you in my dreams quite a bit. Usually we are working together and you want to get the job done even though I'm so glad to see you. You will say yeah,yeah...we need to get back to work. I'm really glad I still see you. Love you!

I am so very sorry for your loss.It has been a difficult
summer for you all.You are in my thoughts & prayers

July 14, 2015

Sandra, Nancy, Patty, Danny, Doris, and Steve:

We are so sorry at the passing of Cousin Bobby. He was so special and had that infectious smile!

I remember one story that my daddy would tell over and over. Daddy was visiting his sister (Reba). Bobby had just purchased his first car, and he wanted to show it off to his Uncle Milton. They hit the streets and were cruising through all the hot spots in town when all of a sudden, Bobby shouted, Roll up the windows! Roll up the windows! Daddy did so immediately, and they continued riding and sweating. Not being able to stand it any longer, daddy asked Bobby what was the meaning in his strange behavior. It seems while cruising, Bobby had spotted some of his friends, and he wanted them to think he had air conditioning in his un-air conditioned car! Classic Bobby Kutzer!

Memories like this will sustain us during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love all y'all!

With love,
Jeff and Pam (Rogers) Mault

My big brother Bob was a mentor and confidant to me, and his station in my life can never be replaced. His kindness, gentleness and sense of humor will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew him, especially me. Rest in peace Bobby, I love you.

My big brother Bobby:

You were always kind, so funny and didn't have a mean bone in your body. If that wasn't enough, you also had a killer smile, great laugh and were so handsome (everyone said so!)

I catch myself recalling little moments we shared and will always remember with great fondness every memory I have of you. I will smile, but mostly laugh, at all those "remember when(s)".

Every time I look at the stars above, I will think one of them isn't really a star at all, but an opening for you to look down and check on our family.

The Kutzers will never be the same without you. I will see you again Bobby, and I love you.

Your little sister,
Patty
