Roberts Edwards Obituary
Mr. Robert Edwards, Jr. was born in St. Augustine, FL to the late Elnora and the late Robert Edwards, Sr. They all later became residents of Jacksonville, FL where Robert, Jr. attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from New Stanton High School, Class of 1956. He worked as a Merchant Seaman with 30 years of dedicated service and was also employed by Exxon Mobil.
On January 1, 2021, Robert, Jr. peacefully passed away in Pensacola, FL and leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife of 25 years, Novella Edwards; his devoted children; Robert (Emiless) Edwards, III, Clarence (Linda) Edwards, Micheal (Faye) Edwards, James (Tonya) Edwards, Sheila (Lee, Jr,) Seltzer, all of Jacksonville, FL, Charles (Elaine) Edwards, Lawrenceville, GA, his children's loving mother, Etta Edwards; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends, including devoted friend for over 60 years, Willie Cox, Batavia, IL.
A Homegoing Celebration (FAMILY ONLY) honoring the life of Mr. Edwards will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 2:00 PM in Tracy Morton Memorial Chapel, 55 Coast Road, Pensacola, FL, 32507. Interment will take place immediately following the ceremony in Resthaven Gardens Cemetery, 1084 Massachusetts, Avenue, Pensacola, FL.
