Sadie Kirkland Obituary

KIRKLAND Sadie Burnsed Kirkland, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at the Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness. She was a member of the Souls Harbor Church of God in Glen St. Mary and was a life long resident of Macclenny. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years Robert Lacy “ Bob” Kirkland. Two daughters, Joan (Danny) Long and Wilma Rowe both of Macclenny; two sons, Lewis “ Dub” (Hazel) Mobley of Jacksonville and Bobby Ray Kirkland of Macclenny; one sister, Inez Harris of Lake City; twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; loving niece, Anne Bennett and other nieces and nephews survive her. Funeral services for Mrs. Kirkland will be held Wednesday, December 17, at 7pm with the visitation held from 5 to 7 pm at the Souls Harbor Church of God with Rev. Scott and Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Interment will be held Thursday, December 18 at 11am in t he Oak Grove Cemetery. Fraser Funeral Home of Macclenny is is charge of all arrangements.
