Terence Milam Obituary

MILAM Terence “ Terry” Yeager Milam, 44, of Claremont, New Hampshire died Monday, December 27, 2004, in Surry, New Hampshire from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the son of Arthur W. Milan, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and the late Elizabeth Guider Killay, Franconia, New Hampshire, and was a longtime Claremont resident. He graduated with an associate's degree in mechanical drafting from the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College in Claremont and, reflecting a life-long interest in self-improvement, was only a few credits shy of obtaining a bachelor's degree. Mr. Milam was employed at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center from 1980 to 1983 and, for the next 16 1/2 years at the Dartmouth Bookstore, Hanover, New Hampshire. At the time of his death, he was working for Dartmouth College at its Borwell Research Center. On February 25, 1984 he was married to Barbara Lamphere. Mr. Milam was musically inclined and played classical guitar and piano. Survivors incl ude his beloved wife, Barbara, of 21 years, his father Arthur W. Milam of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and his wife Teresa; a brother, Robin A. Milam and his wife Shelby, of Lake Oswego, Oregon, a sister, Melissa M. Ekblom, of Washington, D.C., two step-brothers, George Champion and Robert Champion; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours were held at Roy Funeral Home in Claremont from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2004 and the funeral was held on Friday, December 31, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Forrest Page of Church of the Open Bible in Ascutney officiating. Interment followed at the Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were his step-brother, Robert Champion, his brother-in-laws, Stan and Ralph Lamphere, and his cousin, Hogan Guider.
