My earliest memories of my Uncle Tommy from my youth are looking up to him; literally, I think he was the tallest and best looking man in my family. He always wore a happy grin on his face. My more recent memories are Tom helping my Dad after my Mom died last year. Tom was the strength my Dad relied on to get through this difficult time. When my Dad died in March Tom was back in MN again helping us work through our sorrow and pain. He was a loving brother to my father and a great support as an Uncle. I wish I would have been able to spend more time with him. I’ll miss him. He was never afraid to embrace life. I am glad he didn’t have to endure endless suffering and that he died doing something he loved.
