David R. Benedict Jr., 54, of Wellsboro, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 23, 1970, in Hancock, N.Y., a son of David R. Sr. and Linda L Benedict and was married to Heather A. (DeVantier) Benedict.
Dave was a program manager for Infinera of Sunnyvale, Calif., and a member of Christ Church, Wellsboro. He enjoyed hunting, building and fixing things, being outdoors, traveling riding his four-wheeler, listening to country music and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents: David Sr. and Linda Benedict, of Blossburg; sons: Stephen (Jennell) Benedict of Reno, Nev., Dan (Amanda Puff) Caron of Centre Hall, Thomas (Danashia Long) Benedict of Irwin; daughter: Brooke (Jacob) Benedict-Prokop of Endwell, N.Y.; brother: Michael Benedict of Ionia, Mich.; step-sons: Jeremy (Madison Ellingson) DiVirgilio of Tonawanda, N.Y., Jordan DiVirgilio of Tonawanda, N.Y. and three grandchildren.
