VERNON ROUSE Obituary
Vernon was born on Dec. 4, 1946, in Blossburg, the son of the late Clyde N. Rouse and Nina E. Tubbs.
Vernon was a truck driver. He was employed by several local businesses including Wild Rose Concrete and Cornell Brothers. Vernon enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. He was an accomplished mechanic and enjoyed restoring trucks. Vernon was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his son, Vernon L. Rouse, Jr. and wife Rosa of Middlebury Center; his daughters, Rebecca Davis and husband Roger of Rock Hill, S.C., Norma Rouse of Wellsboro; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Leland and Laura Rouse of Little Marsh, Raymond Rouse of Melbourne Fla., Clyde Eugene Rouse of Little Marsh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Ann and Homer Pierce of Russel Springs, Ky., Patty Rouse, Lorraine Stermer both of Tioga, Thelma and Donald Wollmann of Panama City, Fla. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Walter, Jimmy, Dale, Melvin and Ernest Rouse and two sisters, Ella and Vera Rouse.
Friends and family are invited to Vernon's Life Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, A "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St. Wellsboro. Funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home with Pastor Keith Paris officiating. Burial will be in Wormer Cemetery, Chatham Township.
