Anne Marie Dobbs

Anne Marie Dobbs, 92, of Toms River, N.J., formerly Pottstown, passed away on Jan. 8, 2024.

Anne was born in Lansford to parents Rose and Stephen Geusic. She was the youngest of 11 children and growing up she learned resilience which she passed onto her children.

Anne met the love of her life, Lewis J. Dobbs, at the Lakewood Ballroom, where they were both great dancers. They were married for 55 years and Anne will now be reunited with "Jules," who passed away in 2014.

Anne was a longtime member of St. Aloysius Catholic Parish, Pottstown.

She was always a hard worker with various jobs throughout her life, but mostly she was always there for her family and friends.

Anyone who knew Anne knew she was a remarkable cook with many famous Eastern European comfort food recipes. These meals and her famous snacks were always served with a kind heart and brought everyone together.

She was an avid viewer of golf, tennis and QVC. She loved to read, care for others, and everyone knew she would always tell it like it is, without hesitation, in a loving way. Anne's friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was special to her. From phone call chats to family outings and her grandchildren's sporting events, she was always there to lend an ear or help someone who was going through a challenging time.

Anne was a wonderful mother who was always there for her children. She taught them to be close to one another and that family is the most important thing. Her memory will live in the hearts of her daughter, Sandy Dobbs, and her son, David (Andrea) Dobbs, who loved her dearly. You could not ask for a better grandmom. She adored her grandchildren, Ashlyn Honeywell (George), Zachary, Cassidy, Ava and Etienne. Her beautiful great-grandchild Piper (Ashlyn and George) brought so much joy to her this past year. She will live on in all their hearts.
