Just reminiscing about the last times I saw Tony. We talked about John Mayer touring with the Dead. I witnessed his amazing skill at making level a floor that was higher on one side all the way across the room! What a job! But he knew how to do it, and accomplished it. He kept chickens. He was skilled as a mechanic. But my favorite visit was when he made chicken gumbo for my visit. I ate with he and Maria, had several servings. Delicious! He is the only one of my 40 cousins to cook for me. He had a loving heart. He was a good father. He will be missed. See you on the next horizon, cousin Tony!

My condolences to Kenny, Hummer, and the entire Mongi family. Some of my best years were forming & playing in our band, Switchback. When we needed a banjo player, Tony taught himself to play five string banjo. When we needed a bass player, Tony went out and bought & learned an upright bass! They were just a few examples of his fortitude and desire to accomplish whatever he put his mind to! Lots of great memories...RIP brother Tony.
