Arthur Joseph MacLean, 88, of Bear Creek Lake Drive, Jim Thorpe, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, in his home, in the care of his family. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Heegan) MacLean for 45 years before her passing in 2004.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Arthur and Jeanne (Irvine) MacLean.
He was also predeceased by two sisters, Jean and Sally.
He began his education at the University of Pennsylvania before serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Arthur completed his degree at Long Island University, Brooklyn, excelling at multiple sports.
For most of his professional life, he worked as a bank executive in Manhattan.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.
A talented woodworker and puzzler, Arthur enjoyed a lifetime love of family, sports and travel.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth A. of East Windsor, N.J., Robert S. of Manahawkin, N.J., and Steven M. of Little Egg Harbor, N.J.; a daughter, Susan Lindeboom of Moorestown, N.J.; daughters- and son-in-law; nine grandchildren; a great-
grandson; sister- and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and friends, Stephanie and Bernie Dreher.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 526 North St., Jim Thorpe. Interment, parish cemetery, Jim Thorpe.
