Arthur J. Nace Sr.

Arthur J. Nace Sr. 74, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, in his residence. He was the husband of Virginia L. (Derr) Nace.

They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Aug. 2, 2023.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late William T. and Catherine (Davenspeck) Nace.

He was employed as a custodian for the Panther Valley School District until his retirement in 2012. He was of the Lutheran faith.

Arthur enjoyed tinkering with cars, but especially loved his time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters, Teresa Weirch and her husband Ed of Lansford, Catherine Luffman and her husband Greg of West Virginia, and Mary Nace and her husband Rickie Ruch of Lansford; sons, Arthur Nace Jr. of Oil City, and Mikey Nace of Lansford; brothers, William Nace and his wife Naomi of Lehighton and Willard Nace and his companion, Audrey of Lansford; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elida Nace and Annamae Hartranft and a brother, Thomas.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
