Charles Portz Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Howard Portz III, of Conroe, passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on Tuesday, February 6, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born in Lehighton on October 1, 1959, to the late Charles "Skip" Portz Jr. and Sandra Sillers.
Chuck was a 1984 graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Founding his own firm upon graduation, he grew a successful practice over the next 39 years where his firm became the embodiment of his beliefs: Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the poor and needy (Proverbs 31:8-9).
Chuck was a well-respected and selfless man, always putting the needs of others first. He was an attorney by trade, but his passion lived in what he created with his hands. An avid participant in the ministries of the Lone Star Cowboy Church, he renovated and repaired houses, helped nourish the less fortunate, and always shined a brighter light upon those around him to ease whatever burdens they carried.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; mother, Sandra; sister, Jodie; children, Charles (Laura), Virginia (Josh), Paul (Holly), Victoria (Nick), Landon (Celeste), Joseph (Kara); 10 grandchildren, and an endless list of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Chuck requested that a donation be made to the organizations that helped fuel his passion: The Reckless Saints of Nowhere and Lone Star Cowboy Church Ministry. I would like to say that Chuck ports and his father Charles were some of the best people in the business and some of the best people in the world child supports his son Chuck supported me in my divorce effort and did everything he could to help me and he did such a fabulous job his heart was always in everything that he did for me and he cared about my children and about me during the divorce and the only one of the best for us this man is treasured by God I'm sure in the name of Jesus Christ I know his father Charles and Chuck will be in heaven when I get there thank you Charles and Chuck for everything you've done to help me in my life I love you so much and I love your family God bless you and your family always until the Lord Jesus Christ comes and gives Justice or Justice belongs amen
