Dawn Strohl Obituary
Dawn E. Strohl, 73, of Lehighton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, in the Forest Hills Healthcare Center, Weatherly. She was the wife of Myron Strohl for 33 years.
Born on Dec. 15, 1950 in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Schuck) Gable.
Dawn was a 1969 graduate of Slatington High School, and worked as a secretary for the Borough of Slatington for many years.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton, and a past member of the American Legion Post 314 Ladies Auxiliary, Lehighton.
Dawn loved gardening, crocheting, fishing, spending time at her cabin in Canada and her cats.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Ryan Strohl, husband of Charlotte, of Lehighton; grandchildren, Collene, Keira and Micheala; and stepbrothers and stepsisters, Guy, Randy, Lisa, Roxann and Darla.
Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Schaeffer Funeral Home, Third and Alum streets, Lehighton, with the Rev. Anthony Pagotto officiating. Interment at Lehighton Cemetery. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.

Aunt Dawn was such a good hearted person and loved everyone. I will remember all the great times we had at picnics at Cheri´s . They get to see each other now in heaven .
