Dennis M. Coombe, 59, of 290 Fritz Drive, Lehighton passed away Nov. 20, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Deborah L. Moyer Coombe who passed away Sept. 3, 2011.
Born in Allentown, Pa. he was a son of Dorothy A. Wright Coombe of Lehighton, and the late Martin T. Coombe. A true outdoorsman, Dennis enjoyed hunting big and small game. He was self employed in the leather business and also operated Mrs. Grizzly's Grub at Fourth and Iron St. in Lehighton. He was a member of Zion UCC, Lehighton.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and loved traveling to the family cabin in Shohola, Pa.
Surviving is a son, Ryan D. and his wife, Kristin of Allentown, two daughters, Rebecca D., wife of James Foreaker; and Roxanne D., wife of Matthew Strohl of Lehighton; two brothers, Jeffrey Coombe and his wife, Joanne of Ohio; Douglas Coombe of Lehighton, four grandchildren, Sophia, Serenity, Madison, and Elanor and nieces and nephews.
Services: Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Zion UCC, Second and Iron streets, Lehighton, with with the Rev. Allen L. Heckman officiating. Private interment. Call 11 to 12 noon, Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to The American Cancer Society, 33 W. Ridge St., Lansford, Pa. 18232.
