George Bruker Obituary

George F. Bruker Jr.
George F. Bruker Jr., 89, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, in the Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, York. He was the husband of Jean F. (Fabian) Bruker. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on June 6 of last year.
Born in New Cumberland, he was a son of the late George F. Sr. and Myrtle (Remaley) Bruker.
He was employed as a military technician for the Army National Guard in Lehighton for over 40 years until retiring in August of 1991.
He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for 43 years serving with the 165th Military Police Battalion.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe, and a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Nesquehoning. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 314, Lehighton.
He loved and cherished every second that he spent with his family.
Surviving, along with his wife, are a daughter, Mary Jean Dietrich and her husband Dr. Stephen Sr. of York; a son, Mark F. Bruker of CT; a sister, Evelyn I. Treganowen of Bethlehem; a brother, Edward I. Bruker, and his wife Jane, of Philadelphia; grandsons, Stephen Jr., husband of Mary Kate, Gabriel, husband of Sophia, Michael, husband of Ashlyn, Raphael, and Joshua; great-grandsons, Beckett, Emmett, Donovan and Enzo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle; and a brother, James.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 180 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. James Ward officiating. Military interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Friday 10-10:50 a.m. in the church. The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, Nesquehoning, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolences at www.blazoskyfh.com.

Jean, I am saddened by the news of George's passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I think of George as a family man of character and strong faith. I remember Mr. Bruker very well. Every one got to know Mr. Bruker at some time while in the Guard. He was a no nonsense Officer that was respected by everyone. God bless.
