Gladys M. Smith

Gladys M. Smith, 94, of Palmerton, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, in Scenic View Personal Care Home, Palmerton. She was the wife of the late Ray H. Smith, who passed away in April of this year.

Born in Palmerton, Gladys was a daughter of the late John and Emma (Getz) Goodhile.

She enjoyed spending time with family, going out to eat, planting her flowers, baking, crocheting and trips to the casino.

Gladys was a faithful member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Kunkletown.

Survivors: Granddaughters Kathy Gehringer and fiancé Dan Knauss, Michelle Holthausen and husband Robert Boyle; great-grandchildren Brandon Gehringer and girlfriend Kylie Mertz, Adrian Holthausen and wife Jessalin; sisters Ellen Bauer and Shirley Ahner; daughter-in-law Sharon Smith. She was predeceased by her son Gerald.

Service: Memorial, 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, in church, 102 Church Lane, Kunkletown. No calling hours. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.
