Mrs. Janice L. Nothstein

Mrs. Janice L. Nothstein, 59, of East Penn Township, passed into eternal rest on Friday, April 5, 2024, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Brian E. Nothstein. They were married for 36 years on Oct. 24, 2023.

Born in Easton on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1964, she was a daughter of the late William and Daryle (Witmore) Ryman.

Janice was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking and baking.

She was a member of the Blue Mountain Community Church, where her expertise as a seamstress assisted with the costume creations for the Easter and Christmas plays.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Sarah E. Nothstein of East Penn Township; a brother, Scott Ryman, and his wife, Michelle, in Virginia; and nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by an infant son, Andrew E. Nothstein, who died on Dec. 5, 1990.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak St., Palmerton, with the Revs. Jennifer and Cliff Eckhart officiating. Interment, Ben Salem Cemetery, East Penn Twp. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Arrangements by Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton. Contributions in her name may be made to the church, 18071.
