John McGeehan Obituary

John J. McGeehan
John Joseph "Jack" McGeehan, 78, of Fairfield, PA, died March 19 at home following a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Sharon L. McGeehan. They were married for 52 years.
A native of Coaldale, he lived in Rockville, MD, for 34 years and retired to Fairfield.
Also surviving are two sons, Edward E. McGeehan (Fah), of Germantown, MD, and Sean P. McGeehan of Fairfield; a daughter, Kelly L. Childress (David), of Fairfield; a grandson, Sean J. McGeehan of Germantown, MD; and special friend, "Finn."
He is also survived by a sister Grace Kurzius of Silver Spring, MD; a brother, Jerry McGeehan of Lehighton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late James and Blodwyn McGeehan of Coaldale.
Jack retired in 1993 from the federal government after 30 years of service with the Department of Navy and the Department of Defense.
He proudly served his country in Berlin, Germany, from 1960 to 1962, in the U.S. Army.
He was predeceased by brothers, Edward McGeehan of Beltsville, MD, and Kenneth McGeehan, of Albrightsville; and sister, Cecilia Schilling of Coaldale.
