Joseph M. Frey

Joseph M. Frey, 73, of Lehighton, passed away Friday, March 14 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. He was the fiancé of the late Melody (Howard) Frey, then the longtime companion of the late Patricia Hutta.

He drove trucks for more than 20 years for the former Savage Industries, Parryville, until retiring in 2017.

Joe was a devoted and longtime member of Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton.

He loved animals, and was a Jack-of-All-Trades. He especially loved to tinker with cars and electronics.

Born in Lehighton, Joe was a son of the late Marlin and Helen (Wilk) Frey.

Survivors: Daughters Sherri and husband Ross Stephens, LeAnn Frey; sons Joseph Jr. and Joshua; grandchildren Ben, Brandon, Melody, Alicia, Weston and Sawyer; sister Carole and husband Gary Lipics; nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his sister Diane Cunningham and brother Richard.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Thursday, March 20 in church, 260 N 3rd St., Lehighton. Call 9-10 a.m. Thursday in church.

Contributions: Ss. Peter and Paul RC Church.
