Mrs. Josephine Mann, 95, of Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was the widow of George E. Mann.
Born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, on May 23, 1923, she came through Ellis Island in 1926.
She then lived in Palm-erton and was the daugh-ter of the late Josef and Katarina (Petrovic) Vido. She lived with her husband in Jim Thorpe where they raised their family. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jim Thorpe.
She worked most of her life as a seamstress in various garment factories in Jim Thorpe. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting and working in her garden.
She is survived by daughter Pamela Kimmel, and her partner Russell Ohsberg, of Stuart, Florida; a daughter Susan, wife of Robert Kuhn, of Jim Thorpe. Lynn Mann and his wife Julie of Jim Thorpe; and Jeffrey Mann, and his partner Cathy Jones, of Lehighton. In addition she was a loving Nana to nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Julie (Vido) and Joe Evans of Palmerton.
She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. She was also predeceased by her son George Mann and most recently by her grandson Corey Kimmel.
Services: Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, at the Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. Rebecca Cancelliere officiating. Viewing will be from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe.
