Kelly Smith Obituary
Kelly S. Smith, 50, of West High Street, Nesquehoning, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She worked as the manager of the Turkey Hill store in Lansford for many years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Larry E. and Jean L. (LeVan) Smith.
She was a 1990 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
Surviving are a son, Anthony Yerger, and his fiancée, Amanda Haynes; a sister Lori, wife of Edward Porambo Jr.; a brother, Judd Pape; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and a future grandson, Nicholas Peter Yerger.
Service: A private family service will be held. Arrangements by Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, Weissport. With her love of pets, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the Carbon Co. Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.

This is gonna b the first Christmas that we not doing our funny gift stuff in almost 20 yrs. Think bout you lots but want you to know ur cats are fine. I took in all 4 , funny since I´m not a cat person so u would be laughing, but they are all sweet. Merry Christmas in heaven girl.. ur bestie always TINA

I am so sorry for your loss. Kelly was my boss At Turkey Hill and she was greatest boss. She made the job interesting and fun. Her soul and spirit will always be with you all. Rest in peace beautiful lady.

Deepest condolences on the passing of Kelly. So sad to hear this. I met her when she volunteered at CCFOA. I immediately thought she was a very kind and sincere person. She was always a pleasure to see, and will be sorely missed by many.
