Larissa Rose Barachie

Larissa Rose "Rissa" Barachie, 47, of Oak Street, Jim Thorpe, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of Joseph J. Barachie Jr. and Rose A. (Nenscel) Barachie.

She was a 1996 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.

She had worked as a mechanic at the former Pol-Bar Garage, Lehighton, and then for NAPA Auto parts.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton.

Rissa loved cruising in her purple '67 Volkswagen Bug, tinkering with cars and vacationing in Ocean City, Md.

She loved her family and was the driving force to make family get-togethers a priority.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sons, Gordon M. Lindermuth IV and Joseph J. Lindermuth, both of Jim Thorpe; a sister Ginger, wife of Duane Masonheimer of Walnutport; a granddaughter, Eleanor Rose; an aunt, Mary Nenscel of Lehighton; cousins, nephews and fur babies.

Service: Memorial service noon, Friday, Oct. 4, Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. Michael Frost officiating. Interment, private. Memorial visitation 11 a.m.-noon Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be sent to the funeral home, 18229.
