Laura Bailey Obituary
Laura Evelyn Bailey, 85, of Lehighton, passed away on Sept. 27, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.
She had been employed as a nurse, working for the old Allentown Hospital, Holy Family Manor, Allentown State Hospital, Sunbury Hospital and retiring from Phoebe Ministries.
Born in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Olive (Rabuck) Bailey.
She was a 1958 graduate of Danville High School and a 1961 graduate of Allentown School of Nursing.
She was very involved in various duties at Zion UCC, Lehighton, and was also a past member of Quilts for Kids.
In addition to her volunteering, she was very passionate about quilting, reading, canning, baking and spending time with family.
Surviving are her daughter Jennifer, wife of Timothy Fritz of Lehighton; granddaughter Ashley of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and granddog Max.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Wayne Bailey.
Service: Private service at the convenience of family. The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to Zion UCC of Lehighton.

I´m so sorry to hear of your mom`s passing
Laura was my first charged nurse. She taught me the right way to do things, the way the old-fashioned nurses did things. I carried Laura`s teaching through out my nursing career for 27 years.
I met your mom working at Phoebe on 3 Trexler at Phoebe home.
