Marie Ann Giovannini

Mrs. Marie Ann Giovannini, 78, of 209 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, passed away peacefully after a long battle with lung cancer on Saturday, Nov. 10, in Avondale, Pa. She was the widow of Teddy Andrew Giovannini, who died in 1992.
Born in Jenkins Township, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Bobyok) Hornick.
She worked in the garment industry and was a housekeeper and home care giver.
She was a member of the former St. Ann Catholic Church, Lansford.
Surviving are daughters, Tina L. Kerschner of Jim Thorpe and Nan Dankel, and her husband, Bob, of Myerstown; sons, Mario Giovannini, and his wife, Jennifer, of Avondale, and George Oley, and his wife, Margaret, of Sunbright, Tenn.; a sister, Veronica Welgos of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Zachiry Kerschner, Stacy Snyder, George Oley Jr., Shannon McGhee, Matthew Giovannini and Olivia Giovannini; great-grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Austin, Jared, Matthew, Samuel, Ashley and Meghan; and many nieces and nephews and family friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother George; and a sister Josephine.
