Michael Behler Obituary
Michael Allen Behler, 57, of Scarbro, W. Va., died Sunday, May 12, in the Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, W. Va.
He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Beltsville, Md., as a micro-biologist for several years.
Born in Alameda, Calif., he was a son of the late Phillip Behler and Audrey (Kehler) Behler. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Independence. Behler graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in micro-biology.Surviving are his partner of 23 years, David Athen Bryant, of Scarbro; two brothers, Anthony of Fayetteville, W. Va., and Christopher of Tamaqua; two sisters, Kellee, wife of Jeff Klintop of Albrightsville, and Lisa, wife of Fred Stabler of new Ringgold; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Service: Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Interment, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Call noon-2 p.m. Thursday. Online condolences can be offered at www.highlawnfuneralhomechapel.com.

I can't begin to tell you how sad I am about the loss of Mike, I wouldn't know where to start. We had so much history, good & not so good. Our last encounters were very, very fond, he bringing a christening dress from Spain for my 1st daughter, & I visited him in Norfolk, touring the Indy CV-62. I regret not keeping in touch with so many people from back home, hearing about their passings saddens me. Alas, we all must go where our hearts lead us, & i KNOW Mike was very happy with David for so many years. That gives me great joy. God bless you all. Til the twain shall meet. Lisa, please try to get in touch with me. Beckie can get my # to you thru' your lil sis. I miss you.
