Larry Behler Obituary
Larry E. "Sox" Behler, 83, of Towamensing Twp., died Tuesday, December 9, in his home. He was the husband of Virgie (George) Behler for 60 years last September.
He worked for the New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, and its successors, for 42 years until retiring in 2008.
Sox was a life member of the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club.
He loved hunting, fishing and drinking the occasional beer.
Born in Palmerton, Sox was a son of the late Andrew Sr. and Esther (Everett) Behler.
Survivors: Wife; daughters Lori Gibson and companion Randy Roote, Cathy and husband Bart Wagner, Amy and husband John Kline, Erin Behler and companion Jeremy Henry, Kristin and husband Shawn Klingle; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister Mrs. Judy "Gerdy" Lahr. Larry was predeceased by his sister Shnookie and brothers Chessy, Andrew Jr. and Chubby.
Services: Celebration of Life, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 14, at Polk Twp. Fire Co., 511 Interchange Road, Kresgeville. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.
