Paul Heere Obituary

Paul H. Heere Jr.

Paul H. Heere Jr., 80, of Long Run Road, Lehighton, Franklin Township, died peacefully on Sunday morning, Sept 8, 2024, in his home.

He was the owner/operator of the Buckeye Tavern, Macungie, formerly the Load of Mischief, and the East Macungie Hotel.

Previously, he was master carpenter and owner of Wholesale Kitchens, Allentown.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Paul H. Sr. and Conchita (Silva) Heere.

A very spiritual man, Paul volunteered with Shelter at the Cross Ministries I Am, helping and counseling many people over the years. He was a Guinness Book of World Records Holder for racing his homing pigeons.

An Air Force veteran of Vietnam, he attained the rank of A1C.

Surviving are a daughter, Tracy L. Adieyefeh of Trappe, Montgomery County; a son, Christopher P. Heere, and his wife, Tammie Steidinger, with whom he resided; a grandson, Harry O.B. Adieyefeh; sisters, Linda, wife of George Jenkins, and Anita, wife of Carl Weber, both of Allentown; a stepson, Kevin Kaintz, and his wife, Danielle, of Coopersburg; his former wife, Linda (Yohe), wife of Kenneth Smith of Bethlehem; and nieces, nephews and his grand dog, SadieLou.

Service: His funeral service will be announced. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton. Contributions in his name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans-VAROIC, P.O. Box 42938, Wissahickon and Manheim streets, Philadelphia, PA 19101. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.

Paul, you have made your final flight into the wild blue yonder´s. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Have a smooth flight.
