Shirley A. Teets
Shirley A. Teets, 81, of Danville, and formerly of Whitehall and Lehighton, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was the wife of Thomas Teets for 62 years.
Born on July 11, 1940, in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Pauline (David) Hill. She was a 1958 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
Shirley worked as an administrative secretary for the Phoebe Devitt Home in Allentown for many years, retiring in 2002.
She was of Christian faith.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Susan, wife of Brooks Roberts; grandson, Brock Roberts, fiancé of Maggie Gola; brothers, Terry and Todd Hill; and sister, Joan Laury.
She was predeceased by her son, Theodore Teets; brother, Robert Hill; and sister, Jean Allen.
Service: A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Schaeffer Funeral Home, Lehighton, is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.schaefferfunerals.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org.
