Sue Ann Lou Whitaker Dunlap

Sue Ann Lou Whitaker Dunlap, 69, of Ashfield, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.

Born in Lehighton on Sept. 11, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Gladys G. (Smith) Whitaker.

She was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School and recently retired from home health care as a nurses aide/caregiver.

She also was a student of commercial art.

She formerly attended Sunday school and church services at Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield.

In her spare time she enjoyed art, sewing/needlepoint and spending time with her caring family.

Surviving are a daughter, Naomi B. Kratzer (Jacob); two sisters, Barbara Smith (Mickey) of Ashfield and Marjorie Castro of Richland; a granddaughter, Ari Kratzer of Ashfield; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Raeanne Whitaker.

Service: A Celebration of Life gathering in her honor will be announced by the family in the future. Arrangements by Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2128 Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Lehighton, PA 18235. Online condolences can be offered at ovsakfh.com.
