Afroditi Soulidis Obituary

SOULIDIS Afroditi Afroditi Soulidis, 87, of Toledo, OH passed away on May 2, 2009, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. Born in Chereshnitsa, (Polykerasos) Greece, of the Orthodox faith, she came into the United States in 1951. She was employed at the Toledo Club for many years in the food service department. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing and gardening. Survivors include her children, Tina Welsh and Jack (Debra) Soulidis; sister; Sophie Timofeev; daughters-in-law, Anastasia Soulidis (Argiri) and Chrysoula Soulidis (Christos); grandchildren, Diane (Steve) Stegal, Sophie (Bill) Ashley, Archie (Stefani) Soulidis, Chris (Greg) Berning, DeeDee (Shaun) Ueberroth, Pete (Yvette) Soulidis, Anna Soulidis, Stacy (Rob) Baer-Long, Jack Soulidis Jr., Jacob Ueberroth and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Argiri and Christos; brother, Couzo and sister, Fana. Visitation will be from 2 - 9 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009, with a Trisagion prayer service at 7 p.m. at Hoeflinger - Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at St. George Orthodox Cathedral OCA, 738 Glenwood Rd., Rossford, OH where the body will lay in state beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Restlawn Cemetery. Tributes in memory of Afroditi may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Thad and Regina, and Ruby and I, had many happy moments ,with the K of C...We made many conventions, also...They were "good people" and fun to be with...Condolences , to the family and God bless you...TO Brother, and Sir Knight, may he rest in peace...

sorry to here about your mother she was a very good person from the time i met her when you had become part of the family my childern we always will rember her as baba be strong for time will heal the pain but you have so many wonderful memories
