Alejandro
Alejandro S. Quinones, “Jando”, born July 18, 1932 went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2017. Surrounded by the love of family, Jando lost his battle with cancer at the Dayton VA Hospice, Dayton, Ohio.
Jando was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a self-taught acoustic guitar player. His love of music included listening to and playing “trio” music.
He met the love of his life, Maria “Rosa” Bernal, in San Antonio, Texas and celebrated 58 years of marriage before his passing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosa; sons, Eddie (Rutila), Andy and Alex (Rosemary); daughters, Elizabeth, Judy (Javier), Sylvia, Alexsandra (Mike) and Nina (Sam); siblings, Alicia and Ray; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lupe and Estella; son, Rudy; grandson, Michael; granddaughter, Jessica.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Dayton VA Medical Center, 4100 W. 3rd. Street, Dayton, OH 45428. Online condolences may be made to the family at
