Alma Ruiz Obituary
Alma Gonzales Ruiz, 79, of Oregon, OH passed away on November 19, 2022, at home with her family, after a hard battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Alma was born on July 11, 1943, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Joseph Gonzales and Frances (Lucius) Gonzales. Alma was employed by Jeep Corporation and retired after 16 years of service. She will be remembered for her love of Bingo and cooking, and her kindness and generosity to everyone that came in contact with her. She was a self-sacrificing mother who put everyone's needs above her own. If she knew that you were in need or hurting, she would not hesitate to open her home, her heart, and her love to them.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador Gallardo Ruiz, Jr. of 59 years; grandson, Joshua Ruiz; four sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by her children, Salvador G. Ruiz III, Joseph G. Ruiz, Cecilia G. Ruiz, Barbara G. Ruiz-Kane (James Kane), Sophia G. Ramos (Francisco A. Ramos), Carmen G. Ruiz, and Kim Stoner (Albert Stoner). She is also survived by four sisters, Dora, Josephine, Annie, and Genny; 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Memory Lane Care Services, and East Toledo Senior Center. They'd also like to thank all our family and friends for their support and prayers, who spent time with mom prior to her passing and made her feel very loved.
