Ambrosia Johnson
Ambrosia Johnson Thomas, 84, Toledo, OH made her transition from this life on Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was born September 9, 1930, in Sterling, Arkansas to Charlie Johnson and Bessie Wilkins Johnson. Ambrosia was raised in Eudora, Arkansas where she attended Shiloh Baptist Church. There she accepted Christ and was Baptized in 1950 by Pastor Tellas James. She moved to Toledo, OH, April 15, 1967, and joined Indiana Missionary Baptist Church in the 1970's. She worked several jobs until she started her career at Flower Hospital in 1976 as a nurses assistant and retired in September of 1995.
Ambrosia was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her brother, Charlie Johnson Jr.
She leaves behind 4 children, Edward Wells, Joyce Scott Jackson (Anthony), Milton Scott Jr. (Christine), Paul Thomas (DeAndra); sister, Leola Johnson Smith; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 12:00 noon at Indiana Baptist Church, proceeded by 11:00 a.m. wake. Visitation will be Monday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Services Chapel, please sign register book at
