Andrew John "A.J."



Andrew John "A.J." Jankowski, age 63, passed away at home on Thursday, November 29, 2012. He was born on June 17, 1949, in Toledo, OH to Andrew Joseph and Emily (Staskiewicz) Jankowski. A.J. was a graduate of Central Catholic High School class of '67 and the University of Toledo. He was head of IT Systems for Tri State Expediting in Millbury, OH for 15 years, retiring from there in 2007, and owner-operator of Audio Loop Solutions from 2006-2012, specializing in church audio loop systems for the hearing impaired. He also worked as a computer specialist for the Bock, Korsnack and Hinds CPA Firm. An all-city baseball player in high school, A.J. volunteered as assistant Softball coach for the Springfield Lady Devils, and enjoyed following his grandchildren's sporting activities. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Maumee, OH.

A.J. is survived by his longtime loving companion, Kathy Fike; daughter, Amy (Chad) Kelly; grandchildren, Tyler and Shannon Kelly, and close friends, Frederick Palm, Andrew Palm and Randy Frazier, and his family. His parents preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jason Bonnicksen presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

I am very sad to see that Andy passed away. Andy was one of those rare people who never failed to make the world around him a better place.

We were saddened to learn of Andy's passing. I enjoyed working and traveling together with Andy as business partners in the 80's at Microframe and later Bock, Korsnack & Hinds. Our prayers are with Kathy and the family.
