Andy Gable Obituary
February 13, 1950 - April 29, 2025
Andy C. Gable, Jr., 75, of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, while being surrounded by his loving family. Andy was born on February 13, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Andy C. Gable Sr. and Lucille (Elliott) (Gable) Moore. Andy was a 1970 graduate from the former DeVilbiss High School. He married Rachelle P. Scheibert on August 21, 1982.
Andy was employed by the former Mercy Hospital and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center since the age of 16 and retired after 48 years of service. He was a hard worker with an outgoing and friendly personality. He always knew how to brighten up one's day through his cheerful personality and contagious smile, which would light up a room with joy.
He was known as "Handy" Andy, having built his own home in Ottawa Lake, MI in 1987. Andy was never afraid to learn new skills. Over the years, he had achieved a black belt in karate and Aikido. He enjoyed skiing, camping and old classic cars. He found great joy in the restoring of his 1974 corvette.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rachelle; children, Jonathon Gable, Jason (Angie) Gable, and Nicole (Mark) Stevens; sisters, Vivian Felton and Bernetta McClain; grandchildren, Laura, Blake, Kayla, Julia, Brayden, Jada and Chase; great-grandchildren, Blake Jr., Ashlynn, and Camden.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman), Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2025. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio.

Sorry to hear that Andy passed. We went to Devilbiss together and in 1970 he wrote a wonderful poem in my yearbook. Which has always been precious to me . A wonderful person who will be greatly missed.
