Anthony “Tony”
Anthony “Tony” Lands, age 40, of Toledo, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center surrounded by loving family. He was born on November 9, 1976, to John and Erlinda (Uribe) Lands in Toledo. Tony worked with Educare Academy for over 15 years where he will be deeply missed. He had a heart for Christ, evident in his willingness to help anyone in need. Tony was an artist who loved to draw, with a passion for architecture and design. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his siblings.
Tony is survived by his loving parents, John and Linda; siblings, Margaret (Lands) DeLeon, John Franklin Lands III and twin sister, Rhonda Marie Lands; nephews, Frankie and Alexander; niece, Mariah; paternal grandmother, Frances Price; paternal grandfather, John Lands, Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Amelia Uribe and Luis Uribe and paternal grandfather, Richard Price.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will take place Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.

It is hard to understand the Master's plan for our lives. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of PEACE, and not of evil".....(Jeremiah 19:11)
As we trust in Him, we are strengthened and comforted by His WORD that assures us that He suffered it all before hand and laid down His life for us that we might be comforted.
He is touched with our feelings and He knows the pain we feel. Our hearts ache with you now and in the days to come.

Rhonda & family, I am deeply sorry for your enormous loss, my heart is heavy for all of you. Although there are no words to ease the pain in your hearts, I pray that the beautiful memories of Tony will bring you great comfort. Although I did not have the honor to personally meet Tony, throughout the years i have heard what an amazing, loving man he was to all those fortunate enough to encounter him. It is very apparent Tony was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend full of love, and life. He was also a man of God; and I know with certainty that he is now with God, and restored to full health. God only takes the best, and heaven has gained an Angel. Tony will be with all of you always, and his legacy will live on through each and everyone of you. May God bless all of you today, and in the days ahead, and may Tony rest peacefully in Heaven. Keeping you all in my thoughts, and prayers. With love, and deepest condolences.
