Arlene A.
Arlene A. Beckman, age 96, of Walbridge, OH passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community, Pemberville, OH. She was born on December 2, 1919 in Toledo, OH to Edward and Clara (Wiegman) Linke. On December 29, 1941 she married Carl H. Beckman in Covington, KY and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1982. Arlene was a bookkeeper for Howard Moriarty, Toledo and was a wonderful homemaker. Her memberships included: Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha, OH, Women of the Church and the Zion Quilters.
Arlene is survived by her son, Gary (Sandra) Beckman of Woodville, OH; daughter, Carol Beckman of Machias, ME; grandchildren, Jeffrey Beckman of Columbus, OH; Thomas (Kelly) Beckman of Mentor, OH, Steven Beckman of Toledo, OH; and brother, James (Betty) Linke of Venice, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; and brothers, Earl Linke and Marlyn “Pete” Linke.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha, OH where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Bull. Interment will be in Lake Twp. Cemetery, Walbridge, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha. Remembering such a beautiful lady who enjoyed her family and friends. I can think back to hearing so much laughter as she and others would gather to play euchre at my parents home. The farm group was a very special group of hard working individuals who valued life's special moments. May those special moments bring a smile to your faces in the days to come.
